((OOC: SO while I wait for my copy of this thing to come in the mail, I’ve been trying to peer through EpicNameBro’s video on the Dark Souls Design Works artbook. This page stood out to me. All things considered, it looks like I was right and the Artbook nullified at least part of my concept work by providing an official design for Artorias. Whether it goes further than that, I’ve no clue.
I can’t suss out details to draw my own version based on these screens, so I’ll definitely have to wait until I get my copy in the mail. At least he won’t be showing up again for a few entries, so I should have time to get the book by then. The next answer is almost done, but my motivation has been somewhat shot as of late.
