The current question, while having an answer, puts me at a slight loss as to how to illustrate it appropriately. I’ll be on a temporary hiatus at least until I get the artbook that I preordered; hopefully that’ll kick-start my motivation.
Hefty backstory fanon is on the horizon for the long-run, as a head’s up/warning. Not the immediate question, but after that. Srs questions are srs, and absolutely cannot be answered with known lore because known lore simply does not exist on the subjects.))

The name is not very familiar, but I do believe I know of whom you speak. I have seen this man about, but he appears to fade in and out, as if the fabric of time is shifting and obscuring him.
He has shown no interest in the Lordvessel, and he does not remain in this realm long enough to properly ascertain his motives and intentions, though his carriage implies he is probably up to no good.
With a proper Orb, one might be able to fold time in on itself and seek him out. However, I do not possess such an artifact, myself.
As the Captain of the Princess Guard, I stand to test the strength of all who seek the Princess and the Lordvessel.
